AMTA Members speak at the National Telecommunications Conference in Adelaide
AMTA has been represented at the National Telecommunications Conference in Adelaide over the past two days. The Conference, organised by the Federal Attorney-General’s Department, has focused on issues of interception and national security requirements and has attracted law enforcement officers from Canada, the United States and New Zealand.
Kerbside recycling of old mobile phones charts new MobileMuster path
To explore new ways of collecting mobile phones, Mobilemuster has joined the Moonee Valley City Council and FM Recycling’s Re-New Collection project.
Pass Muster or walk the plank for yachties at charity Telco Regatta
The Australian Mobile Telecommunications Association is conducting a MobileMuster round up for the sailors participating in next week’s Telco Regatta on Sydney Harbour with the proceeds going to the Salvation Army youth support network.

The new Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman will speak at an AMTA Members’ Forum in Sydney on Thursday, October 18. Ms Deirdre O’Donnell will highlight complaint trends and significant issues to AMTA Members.
MCF Responds to WA Council's Restrictive Towers Policy
The Mobile Carriers Forum (MCF) has responded to an invitation from the Bayswater Council in Western Australia to comment on a revised policy for the siting of Telecommunication Towers. This follows a decision by the Council August 2007 to review its policy.
AMTA responds to misleading mobile phone driving claims
The Australian Mobile Telecommunications Association has responded to a misleading claim in MX newspapers that motorists using legal hands-free mobile phones are more dangerous than drink-drivers.
