Thieves get the message: Stolen mobile phones are network blocked
A 30% fall in blocking of mobile phones reported lost or stolen shows that thieves are getting the message that stolen handsets are worthless as a result of the mobile phone industry’s anti-theft program, the industry’s peak body said today.
Native trees to grow from jewellery sale
Degraded areas throughout the country, such as rainforests in Innisfail devastated by Cyclone Larry, are set to benefit from the sale of a one-off Nic Cerrone jewellery range made from materials that can be found in mobile phones.

ACMA have invited industry to comment on the draft Restricted Access Systems Declaration 2007 which ACMA proposes to make in accordance with clause 14 of Schedule 7 to the Broadcasting Services Act 1992 (BSA).
