The Australian Mobile Telecommunications Association (AMTA) welcomes the finding of the Parliamentary inquiry into mobile roaming charges that the prices for such services are set by overseas operators and are largely out of the hands of local carriers.

According to a new research report by Berg Insight, the worldwide number of users of mobile banking and related services is forecasted to grow from 20 million users in 2008 at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 89.0 percent to reach 913 million users in 2014, Total Telecom reports today.
