EMF Explained web site proving popular in understanding wireless issues

A new website www.emfexplained.info launched last month by the mobile phone industry to help people understand radio frequency electromagnetic fields (EMF) and wireless issues is proving popular.

After only one month in operation, the site registered more than 5000 page visits from users in more than 50 countries including: Australia, UK, USA, Germany, Egypt, India and Brazil.

The EMF Explained Series (emfexplained.info) provides up-to-date, easy-to-access layered information on the scientific consensus among leading public health and regulatory authorities from around the world on health and electromagnetic fields (EMF).

The new communications web portal on health and electromagnetic energy was developed by the Australian Mobile Telecommunications Association (AMTA) in conjunction with two leading international industry associations, the GSM Association (GSMA) and the Mobile Manufacturers Forum (MMF).

So far the most popular pages on the site include the Mobile Myths section which provides scientific reasoning debunking the hoax that mobile phones can cook eggs and popcorn.

Radio communications and mobile phones are a part of everyday life in today's society. All radio communications systems utilise EMF in the radiofrequency (RF) part of the electromagnetic spectrum. The EMF Explained Series provides a basic overview of radio communications systems and how they work http://www.emfexplained.info/?ID=25186

A download flyer is also available which is ideal for presentations or information sheets.
