Eco-festivals feature MobileMuster as part of “kicking the CO2 habit”

For the next week a number of eco-festivals across Australia promoting World Environment Day and its theme “CO2 kick the habit” will be encouraging visitors to recycle their old mobile phones as part of MobileMuster and Landcare Australia’s Old Phones More Trees campaign as well as handing our free recycling satchels.

These include:

Blacktown City Festival, Sat May 31st, 8am - 4pm, Blacktown CBD (Campbell & Main Sts and Flushcombe Rd), - www.blacktown.nsw.gov.au

Sunshine Coast World Environment Day Festival, Sat May 31st- The University of the Sunshine Coast, www.scec.org.au

Bundaberg 2008 World Environment Day Celebration, PCYC Maryborough Street, Bundaberg Sunday, June 1, 2008, 9:00am to 4:00pm City Council

Gladstone Eco-Fest June 1st Gladstone City Council will hold its 10th Annual Eco-Fest to celebrate World Environment Day. The event promotes sustainability to the community and hosts over 50 environmentally friendly stalls. MobileMuster will be promoted to residents and reply-paid satchels will be distributed.

Downer EDI and Macquarie Group have also joined the growing list of businesses that are encouraging their employees to recycle mobile phones. Tens of thousands of employees across Australia will participate in a MobileMuster to celebrate World Environment Day.
