MobileMuster recognised at the Public Relations Institute of Australia (PRIA) NSW State Awards for Excellence

MobileMuster was awarded with a Highly Commended certificate in the PRIA NSW State Awards for Excellence - Environmental category, in Sydney last night. The outstanding award was given to MobileMuster's Jewellery Campaign, which ran in October 2007.

MobileMuster partnered with internationally-recognised Australian jewellery designer, Nic Cerrone, to create a custom-made jewellery range using only materials found in recycled mobile phones, batteries and accessories.

The campaign aimed to raise awareness and publicity about the surprising end-of-products of recycled mobile phones, particularly highlighting the precious metals such as gold, silver and copper can be recovered.

Cerrone created an exclusive range including a woman's necklace, bracelet, earrings, men's necklace, cufflinks and ring and was later auctioned online. The campaign generated widespread media coverage in Australia and internationally, including media coverage on 9am with Dave & Kim, Ten News Sydney, the Sunday Telegraph (NSW) and stories in the UK, Italy and New Zealand.

MobileMuster's annual PR campaign (April 2007 - April 2008) was also a finalist in the Environmental category, which was won by Cascade Beer - Launch of 100% carbon offset beer.
