Mobile phones and their accessories contain a multitude of plastics and metal. The new educational DVD from MobileMuster provides an overview of how these materials are recycled.
Created for schools and local councils, the six-minute DVD explains how the diversity of plastics and metals in mobile phones, batteries, chargers and accessories can be recovered and turned into new products like plastic fence posts, jewellery and stainless steel.
The DVD will be distributed to the 600-plus local councils Australia. Schools participating in Mobilemuster will also receive a copy as will those schools participating in MobileMuster’s next schools national recycling challenge, which will run in May as lead up to World Environment Day on 5 June.
A two-minute version of the Educational DVD has also produced for use by retailers and businesses.
Both versions are accessible online at www.mobilemuster.com.au or copies can be ordered by calling the MobileMuster Team on 1300 730 070 or emailing mobilemuster@amta.org.au.
