From next week, over 100,000 classrooms throughout Australia will be invited to recycle mobile phones for Keep Australia Beautiful Week which will be held from Monday August 25 to Monday August 31.

Scholastic Australia, publisher and distributor of books and educational materials for children, is promoting Keep Australia Beautiful Week in their book-club packs. Information on how to run a muster and MobileMuster posters are included in the pack. Teachers are encouraged to download educational kits from the MobileMuster website to help support their collection activities.

Schools and students are keen to recycle mobile phones. Over 4,800 mobiles were collected from 200 classrooms as a result of the recent MobileMuster Schools' Challenge for World Environment Day.
