Councillor Geoff Lake, City of Monash, presents the National and State School Champion Recycling Certificates to Principal Kate Patten from Glen Waverley South Primary School. Glen Waverly South Primary school collected the most mobile phones (97kg, twelve times the school average) as part of the Old Phones New Fence posts Schools Recycling Challenge.

The school also received a Samsung 42” TV and a MobileMuster pack including backpacks, pencil cases and slap wrist watches to give to those children who brought in phones for recycling
