International EME expert heads next week’s SW2009 line-up in Melbourne

Chris Althaus 2008 The Australian Mobile Telecommunications Association (AMTA), the peak industry body representing the mobile telecommunications industry, welcomes the opportunity to hear Dr Bernard Veyret, a Member of the International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection (ICNIRP), at next week’s SW2009 program to be held at the Swinburne University of Technology in Melbourne.

Former minister Michael Lee to chair Comms Alliance

Communications Day reported this week that former federal communications minister Michael Lee will be heading the board of Communications Alliance to replace its retiring seven-year chair Neville Stevens. Effective from January 1, 2010, Lee’s appointment is expected to bring significant industry knowledge and leadership skills to the position. Lee was the last communications minister under the Paul Keating government that lost office in 1996.
